My name is Darren. I launched Design-Tech Publishing Ltd. in 2007, giving me the opportunity to do creative design, operational database solutions, and publishing. Brief descriptions and histories of my experience in these disciplines is provided below.
DESIGN
Creative design can encompass how a brand strategy is developed and implemented, how advertising messages are conceived and communicated, as well as the visual images accompanying and reinforcing the strategies and messaging. For over 11 years, I functioned as the Creative Director for two Global brands, one which was well established and one which previously struggled with recognition in North America. My work expanded the market share of the established brand and yielded a first and then consistent consumer-voted recognition awards for the second brand. Campaign leads increased 16% YOY and tangible business opportunities 5.3%. North America became the division's leader in new product sales and continued to be a leader.

TECHNICAL
The operational processes of a Marketing team are just as critical to successful Marketing as the creative messages. I have extensive experience developing customized creative production process solutions, marketing campaign automation solutions, database solutions for CRM and press release segmentation, and customized lead capturing and processing solutions.
- A global machine automation detection company needed a marketing campaign system to attract, capture, pre-qualify, and properly direct campaign leads as well as capture individual campaign ROI. The system utilized the latest campaign technologies and functioned as a CRM system for each regional salesperson, allowing them to record lead interactions, quickly transfer appropriate leads to local distributor contacts, or designate proposal-ready leads for export into the Corporate Salesforce tool.
- A global financing client with multiple B2B relationships needed an online resource offering easily-customized, branded, measurable one-to-one Direct Mail Marketing materials promoting their financing promotions. I led this project for a local advertising agency.
- The country's largest independent publisher needed a complete creative production operations system designed and a new team hired to operate it. The system entailed sales tracking, customer relationship and program management, art, graphic design, copywriting, editing, and print production tracking, shipping, and invoicing.
- A national coop company needed a custom method for soliciting and easily tracking individual store advertising campaign programs and media participation. The system simplified the customer ordering process, functioned as a CRM and order history system, and contained intuitive interfaces for order entry and maintenance processes.
- A multi-state retailer needed an in-house advertising production system developed to optimize efficiency, ensure accuracy, and monitor a $15.5M budget. This production system served the cross-functional creative team scheduling, the accounting team, and the necessary communications with publication vendors.
PUBLISHING
When Design-Tech Publishing Ltd. was initially founded in 2007, I developed a bi-weekly publication covering major sports programs for a local college. The project included strategies for editorial, graphic design, advertising sales, production and distribution. A few years later, I published my first book under the "Our Hope Today" series of Biblical studies.
THE DESIGN-TECH PUBLISHING LOGO & PROMISE
The Design-Tech Publishing logo represents the design services I provide with a "D." It represents the technical services I provide with a lower case "t." And it represents the publishing services I provide with a "P" that is formed by the combination of the two letters.
But the logo also represents the cross at the center of my life. I firmly believe that "whatever we do, we should do it all for the glory of God." My aim will be to serve you - and the Lord - with the best service and solutions possible.
